There are two major things I love about winter hats for girls. Firstly, they are so functional as most of our body heat escapes through our head. Now, this is important in summer to assist the body to keep cool but in winter you want to maintain extra warmth.
Secondly, you can add a splash of color to brighten up a bleak winter. Being a summer girl myself, I feel I need to brighten up my winters. I used to love seeing my babies in hats as they always look sooooo cute.
I’m not a huge fan of winter hats for girls that are not 100% breathable. I prefer a mix so that your child’s head can still release some heat so I encourage you to be mindful of the material the winter had is made from.
You can check out an article my daughter Jamie wrote on kids animal hats for winter if you want something a bit more novel and fun. Otherwise, have a look through my selection of winter hats for girls coming up.
If you are looking for something for those super cold days and nights then you might want to consider a winter hat and scarf set. Aside from the lovely color of this girl’s hat and scarf set, it is warm, breathable, Soft, skin-friendly and Comfortable. Laid Flat the measurements are approximately 8″ Wide and 6″ Tall. It has very flexible fabric with a total height from top to ear flap being 10″. Click on the image for further details. This set is also available in other colors so you might like to purchase two so you can match the wardrobe or to keep one as spare.
This next winter hat pictured right (click the image to buy one) I like for the style. It is quite feminine, the crochet makes it breathable and yet still maintains warmth. It is available in two sizes and is soft and stretchy. It would be worth considering getting a hat and scarf combination as well as a crochet beanie for for both mixing and also for the change in weather. Beanies are so easy to take with you because you can put them in your bag without it taking up too much space.
The next recommendation from winter hats for girls here on the left is a lovely set. It comes in a range of colors and the fact that is is matching is a nice touch and sure to match any clothes in a young girl’s or baby’s wardrobe. This one I recommend for the baby girl or toddler and it is not limited to just girls. The colors available make it a great option for baby boys as well. You can check out the options by clicking here.
Another idea is that you read about our recommendations on kids umbrellas here to keep both warm with a winter hat and dry with an umbrella without sacrificing on fun. Kids do need activity in the cooler weather and having a warm hat and umbrella allows them the chance to splash in puddles or throw snowballs. There is a great variety of winter hats for girls and I hope you have enjoyed my hand picked selection. Feel free to leave a comment at the bottom and tell us about your outings in the cooler weather.
